Adolescent Behavior Therapy

"He won't take a shower, it's like he doesn't care if no one wants to be around him..."

"She doesn't talk to me anymore. Everything that comes out of her mouth is a lie."

"I'm sure they're using drugs."

"..he refuses to go to school."

"Why won't he just do his homework?"

"I just want the best for them."

Does this sound familiar?

While we’re all navigating these complicated times together, children and adolescents are bearing a particularly high degree of psychological impact. And unlike their adult counterparts, children and adolescents have not yet had a lifetime of learning to build up a repertoire of healthy coping skills. Children who do recognize their personal values and how to meet their own needs healthily are far less likely to experience psychological suffering. This in turn creates less interpersonal stress within the family and enables individual family members to thrive independently and as a family unit.

Our behavior therapy services are tailored specifically to adolescents' and young adults' unique needs. Our therapeutic interventions focus on identifying values, learning healthy coping skills, setting boundaries, increasing psychological flexibility, increasing independent living skills, and learning appropriate self-advocacy. Cultivating these skills now will help your child better navigate an increasingly formidable world. We use behavioral science along with values-based interventions to create a road map to meaningful behavior change. Working from a person-centered approach to therapy, we will always demonstrate unconditional positive regard for clients. Client safety, comfort, & privacy is our top priority. We offer one-on-one therapeutic services via telehealth and in-home.
